- Once when Ireland was under wood and bog there was a wood where John Mc Cabe's house now stands. Well, this day there was a fair somewhere about Scrabby. As you would guess there was a tinker at this fair.
He went early in the morning but as early as he went, who was there but his friend the tailor. The tailor had a bullock in it to sell He was selling the animal when he saw the tinker. Then it was not long until the bullock was sold, because the tinker made bargain.
