- Scarvey Bridge is situated on the river Erne which is separating the townland of Lacken from the townland of Corlismore. It is on the main road leading from Arva to Cavan. It is newly built since last year. The old bridge was there for thirty years. There are many stories connected with it.
About eighty-eight years ago a man was drowned in this river while bathing. The drowning happened in the month of July 1850. This man was the last man of the name that lived about the country and he had no friends. His mother died when he was only a baby and his father died during the famine. He had no brothers or sisters.
