- (continued from previous page)and ready for baking. It was baked on a griddle. Potato bread is made from bruised potatoes; flour and salt added. It is then mixed together and baked on a pan. Long ago people used to eat potato bread for breakfast. When the oaten meal was scarce they eat it for supper. Long ao on Halloween night the people used to make "concannon" and have it in a pot near hand and put a spoon in it. In the morning the "concannon" and have it in would have been gone and he spoons would be left on the dish. The people believed it was the fairies that eat it.
- In olden times the people lived on the produce of the farm. Their chief support was oats wheat rye barley and potatoes was their chief foods the barley used to take place of Indian meal they used to make bread of oaten meal and rye. The bread made from rye would be very(continues on next page)
