    as if a human being was sleeping in the fort. She went in and looked around to see if she could find any clue but on finding nothing she knelt down and said three "Hail Marys and the terrible snoring ceased.
    On certain nights of the year there is a light seen at this fort. It is seen going round and round the fort until it comes the to the centre it stands for a few minutes and then disappears. There are many other stories told about this fort.
    One evening my brother and I were sent to fields adjoining this fort for cows. When we came to the fort we spied a wee grey cat up in one of the "lone bushes". We chased it from bush to bush and is disappeared now and again only to reappear in another lone bush. We continued this for quite a long time and at length it disappeared into a very small hole
