    Sometimes the children get in touch with an old man sitting on the side of the mountain with his dog minding the sheep and coax him to tell them an old - time story so to pass the evening. As the twilight is drawing near and the farmer's boy is going along whistling to bring home the cows the children descend the mountain on their way home
    Hallow Eve.

    Hallow Eve is the most enjoyable event of the year all the children look forward to it. When they come home from school they go all the messages and bring in the water. The mother usually sends one of the family for nuts and apples for the big feast that night.
