The Virginia juniors are now mustered up,
They got into the lorry for Ballyjamesduff,
They fought and they squabbled and they said they wouldn't go,
And the first man selected was Peter McGeogh.

Packie Mooney was there with his back to the wall,
He said he didn't come to play football at all,
He shook and he shivered, till they (though) thought he was dead,
When he saw the wild looks of Micksie - the - head.
