- I live in the townland of Billywood. It is a big townland and there are about fifteen families in it. It is situated about a mile and a half to the east of Mullagh.
It is a middlen hilly townland and there (are) is a big wood and bog in it also. The name most common is Smith. The river Barora borders Billywood on one side. All the houses are slated except two. There are a few old poems about the townland of Billywood. it is in the parish of Moynalty and the county of Meath. There are a few old forts and ruins of houses in it. I love my townland because I was born in it.- Collector
