  1. Fill high your glasses
    Time swiftly passes
And drink a health to your far off home
To your lakes and mountains, your vales and fountains
Where oft in childhood you used to roam.

Far, far away from your sparkling rill
We will banish sadness and drink with gladness
To the days you spent round sweet Mullagh Hill.

And will ne'er again tread their native strand
More, fondly dreaming bright visions gleaming.
Of fame and fortune in a foreign land.

With bitter grief for their country's ill
And with bosoms heaving, the lake when leaving
A last fond look at Sweet Mullagh Hill.
