    The boys are blindfolded and they grope their way to the saucers. If they put their hand on the one with water, they will emigrate, if they put their hand on the one with the ring they will marry and if they put it on the prayer-book they will be a priest.
    On Hallow Eve Night the people eat colcannon. When they are done with it they leave some on a plate with twelve spoons for the fairies.
