   the fairies because he died a long tome ago. When Terry Na Gaoith began to kick ball with them and one of the fairies said dont attempt to hit the ball Terry; or you will not get out of the field to night. So the man went home a fraid of his life. And it is said that every bright night you could see the fairies playing ball in the field. And this field is in the townland of Scarke.

   Once upon a time there was an old man living in Billywood and he was very rich. Before he died he buried all his money under the hearth-stone. When he was dead and his house down two men went one night to dig for the gold. They hit a flag and they thought it the flag over the gold. But the boys from around got chains and old cans and came running down the road dragging them after themselves. The men though it was a ghost so they ran off and threw the spades after them.
