People do not like to change from house on Saturday, or to begin ploughing or to begin house building. Easter Monday is looked upon as a lucky day for planting crops. The Cross Day of the year is not known in this district.

    People dress themselves in old clothes on St. Stephen's day and go about from house to house, asking for pennies to bury the wren. They play music, and dance and sing songs.

    People go to church on Good Friday. The Lord was crucified on Good Friday.
