    Sometimes the people wear paper harps on their breasts.
    People dress themselves in old clothes on St. Stephen's day and go about from house to house, asking for pennies to bury the wren. They play music, and dance and sing songs.
    Pancakes are made on Shrove Tuesday
    People go to church on Good Friday. The Lord was crucified on Good Friday.
    People sit up on New Year's night, and they ring
