    Cold and Hoarseness:- (1) Buttermilk and sugar taken as a hot drink going to bed.
    (2.) White of egg, lemon juice and candy sugar taken at intervals.
    (3) Black currant jelly made into a hot drink.
    Wildfire (a rash):- Rub with gold.
    Toothache:- 1. Fill the cavity in the tooth with cotton-wool soaked in whiskey.
    2. Rub the gums with bread-soda.
    To Purify the Blood:- Give children a mixture of sulphur and treacle in the Spring time.
    Whooping Cough:- Get an egg and milk from some one who did not change her name at marriage.
    Sore or Weak Eyes:- An old cure is bathe the eyes in breast-milk every morning for nine mornings.
