  1. There is a forge near Kill school in the townland of Drumhurt. The smith is Patrick Clarke. The forge is at the cross roads. The roof is made of iron. The fire is placed at the back wall of it. There is a pair of fine bellows in it which the smith is constantly blowing. It is convenient for any person who wants his horse shod.
    There is another forge near Tullyvin, and the name of the smith is Tommy Foster. The roof is also made of iron. These blacksmiths repaired ploughs and make spades
