When a child took the measles the (pro) following cure was used:- a dish of meal was given to an ass. While he was eating it the diseased person walked under him three times. The dish was then taken from the ass, and a cake was made from the meal that was left, and given to the patient to eat.
When a usually healthy person became suddenly ill the old people believed that he was under a magic spell/ To cure him of this, ass's milk and a certain herb called ''Buachaill an tighe'' were boiled together and given to the patient to drink.
When a person sprained his ankle he sent for a person who had the cure of this ailment.
