    This graveyard is of a peculiar trapezium shape and is built on the site of an old druid's mound It is said that sightseers came from many parts to view the druids altar
    This area is still famous for its hazelrods which is proof that it was an old druidic stronghold. The chapel of Maghera was more important than During in 1606 and at that both chapel and churchyard were given to Garnett Moore - part of the Jacobean policy The last record of Moaghera church is in 1624 and it was then in ruins.
