    was Irish also spoken in this school but it was never used in teaching any subjects.
    The children used to write on paper with pointed quills instead of steal-pens. They sat on wooden logs that were placed along by the walls. There was a blackboard also in this school which the teacher used for writing on. The teacher remained in the district while he was teaching in Woodfield School.
