  1. Blow Gun:-
    When the blackbirds used to come around the house people used to cut boltree and cut a hole in the stick and clean out the stuff in the middle. When this was done they used to get a bit of flax and roll it up until it would be hard they used to put it into the gun and pull the spring and fire the bit of flax at the birds.
    Spinning Top:-
    In the winter when the nights were long, they used ot get a used spool and pare off one end and put a stick in the hole and then they used to twist the stick in their hand.
