    A sacred three leaved emblem
    For Patricks hand had touched it
    To mystery and to meaning
    to worship and to pray.
    The Grace of God upon it
    speaks of the Eternal.
    Three in One and One in Three
    We bow our spirits there.

    A tiny spray of shamrock
    But it brings to me the echoes
    Of those hidden glens of
    Ireland where the birds are singing clear.
    The murmur of the hills in
    it the healing of the waters.
