    Will the days of thy number again come full soon.
    Lo! here in Kilronan poor Carolan is lying,
    Had he lived for a century
    How proudly we'd bloom.
    But deaths certain summons peeped over his violin,
    His harp and his heart beating ever so low,
    The strains of his music his pulses are dying,
    The last of the bards feel his fair harp no more
    Lo! stranger come tell me has thou never known [?]
