    No sad or broken heart
    In pangs of woe
    Be forced to go
    Across the stormy foam,
    For here is found
    A house and ground
    To labour on at home.
    For years of strife
    The poor man's life
    Was worse than any slave
    To drive and mow
    To plough and sow
    'Twould pauper any knave
    For each bit he got
    Ten drops of sweat
    Had fallen from his brow
    But now at last
    That day is past
    Thank God it's not so now.
