    Old Forts.
There are many forts in this locality. They were once the chiefs home. There are many of these forts up and down the country and they are all different in make.
Some of them are larger and some are smaller.
In these forts there are three or four walls of mud and between the walls was water. They thought they were very safe.
There are many treasures hidden in some of these forts.Sometime ago the people thought it was not right to take any thing from a fort .
A few years ago people came from other counties and got treasures in the forts.
The largest fort in Ireland is in Killimer and it can be seen from four parishes
