About the third century the laws in them days where different to the present laws. The would hang a man or a woman for a very small offence. There was a man hanged at Glaslough for abusing his wife.
They way the hanged then in those days was the tied a rope to the branch of a tree and then the one the were going to hang would stand on a slay or cart This man that was going to be hanged got three chanches to say wheither he would go and live agreable with his wife and the third he was asked he said.
