    the priest would come out, he would say to him, "What do you think of him to night Father"? Father Eardley would reply that he thought the sick man was improving. One night however the sick man was very poorly and when Fr. Eardley came out after seeing him the sick mans brother said to him as usual what do you think of him to-night Father? Ah said Father Eardly I think he is very low John. Do you think Father said John would I be better go in and put another bathan (batan) under him.
