    Marriage Customs
    some time ago when a pair got married there was great fuss about the pair but now-adays such a fuss is not made. In west Clare where the bride and bridegroom are married a big dance is held at the bride's house. During the day when the dance is on men who make suggans dress up in scraws and in their turn dance with the bride. No one knows who they are when they have the scraws wound around them. Aftr a while they go out to put on their best suits on them.
