    Long ago there was a special churning day .When the woman of the house was churning ,a man happened to go into the house ,to light his pipe or on business he could not leave the house without giving "a stroke to the churn"as the woman would think he could take all the butter of the year with him.This is supposed to be one of the "piseóga".
    It is easier to make a churn in Summer than in Winter because when the weather is cold it is very difficult to collect it.
