    Local Monuments.
    There are five standing stones in the parish.There are three in Newgrove, one in Miltown and one one in Bláirneach.There are two cairns and two Cromlechs..There is a Mass Rock in Bláirneach.
    There are four standing up stones and a large flat one on top of them in Miltown .There are two large stones in Newgrove about ten feet high and eight feet wide and a foot thick.
    The Mass Rock in Bláirneach is a very large stone with a cross on top of it .During the penal days Mass was said
