- I never heard any old stories about Fionn, Oisin, or Oscar or the Fianna. There was never any story told by the fireside about the Gobán Saor.
- There are no old stories told about Fionn or Oisin in this district. The Fianna were never in our place. There is a place in the parish called the "Deer-park." Deers were kept in little parks, and that is how it got its name.
