The people of long ago said these prayers. When they were in sorrow they said, "Welcome be the Holy Will of God." When they were in laughter they said "Cause of laughter from God to us." When they heard of a pair newly married they said, "Long life to ye," or "Good luck to ye." When they heard of a death they said, "May the Lord have mercy on him."

I never heard any other prayer but the prayers taught at school. When wakening. Bless
