  1. There was a man named Michael Liddane, coming home from Kinvara, he had to pass over a hill in a field. This journey meant that he should pass a house, which was on the hill, and was said to be haunted. It was very windy and he went into the house to light his pipe. The people of the house asked him to stay the night, he did so, but he got no food. He went to bed and slept soundly but when he woke next morning he found himself lying on a stone on the roadside.
