    The roofs of the houses were made of thatch. It was lined with heather , they got the heather in the wood, they got the reed near trenches and along side the bank of the Shannon.
    They had a bed in the kitchen, They had it near the wall. The name. Of
    the bed was a settle bed and sometimes a hammock.
    A hammock is a canvas bed tie with two strings to the rafters. They had also beds called camp beds. The camp bed were made of timber with a hood over them, the people of the house slept in them, they had the hearth in
