    (1) Make an ointment of blackberry leaves and lard.
    (2) Make an ointment of beeswax, resin and mutton suet.
    Sprain
    (1) Bathe in water in which potatoes have been boiled.
    (2) Make an ointment of marshmallow and lard.
    (3) Make a plaster of comfrey root and apply to sprain.
    Ear-ache
    (1) Nine puffs of tobacco smoke into ear.

    Diarrhoea
    (1) Garlic boiled in milk
    (2) Make a drink of logwood and port wine
    Head-ache
    (1) Pour boiling water on camomile leaves and hold forehead over steam.
