    Cures
    Bleeding from Nose.
    Lie flat and put something cold on the back, between the shoulders.
    Sore Throat.
    (1) Make salt hot. Put it into a woollen stocking and tie around the throat.
    (2) Wring a cloth out of cold water and wrap round throat.
    Hiccups.
    (1) Take nine sips of cold water.
    (2) Hold your left wrist with right hand while counting ten.
    (3) Keep breath in while counting ten.
    (4) Give person suffering from hiccups an unexpected fright.
    Rheumatism.
    (1)Make a drink by boiling turkey weed (yarrow) in milk.
    (2) Celery used in the diet.
    (3) Tea made from dried sage.
    Whitlow.
    Plunge the finger into very hot water every ten minutes.
