    seated at the fire.They had an infant and they were throwing it from one to another.
    The man stole silently up to bed but when he was on the stairs he heard one of the women remark that twould be a good thing if they had something with which to cover the child .The man went to his room;took off his shirt ,and threw it down to the visitor.She thanked him and told him that every morning he would that every morning he would find a two- shilling piece under a stone near the well by the castle.He was not ,however,to tell anyone.
    Every morning for a week he found the coin,but then the desire to tell the story of his good fortune got the better of him.He told a neighbour ,and when he went the following morning there was no two-shilling piece.
