  1. All the old pisreoga in this (this) part of the country is now dead out. Some people would not put out the ashes on may morning or on new years morning. Some would not let out milk or they would not let out a man with a lighted pipe for fear he would bring the butter with him. No one wanted to be the first to put smoke on new years morning.
