- The cows at home are called Nora, Molly, Sarah and Grany. When we are driving them in or our we say "How up" The cows are bedded with wheaten straw every day. The cow house is whitewashed every week. There are poles from the top of the ground and loose poles beside each of them which can be moved over tight so that the cows cannot get back their heads but they can eat and lie down in comfort. The man that milkes the cows has to wash his own hans and the cows' udders, When the cow calves first her(continues on next page)
