- (continued from previous page)At last one man plucked up courage and said that he would serve the Mass. The priest was delighted, and both of them went into the Vestry. The priest put on the vestments to say the Mass, and the man put on a soutane and surplice.
When the Mass was over the priest rewarded the man and disappeared straight up through the vestry ceiling into heaven.
This is a true story, and the priest lived in Tipperary.
Mr Hannon, Dunshane, told me this story.
