- There was once in Old Kilcullen a man whose name was James Dolan. He was very kind to animals and would not hurt a fly. He had a cat who was a great mouser. He did not want the mice to be hurted so he tried to stop the cat from killing the mice but was all in vain. It was the nature of the cat to kill the mice.
There is a proverb:
"Dont do impossibilities / dont to that
