There was a giant named Fionn Mac Cual. He is said to have thrown a stone from the hill of Allen to the Hill of Knockaulin. When it landed on the latter it hit another stone and split it in two pieces. The mark of his five fingers are on the stone which he threw.
A Lepricaun is a fairy shoe-maker who is often seen working under a dock-leaf. If you can catch him you can make him give you money by threatening him.
