The the water was squeezed out of the pulp, and the pulp was mixed with flour and milk. Then they are mixed and made into a cake.
The difference between boxty and potato cake is that the potatoes are boiled before using when making potato cake.
Potato cakes were baked on a grid iron.
At certain times of the year they had currant cakes.
Before baking the caked they always put the sign of the cross with a knife on the top of them.
The reason of that was to help the cake to rise.
