The drink was passed around very often but Michael refused to accept any of it . The other men were cursing and swearing because they were losing all their money .Michael was praying all the time. The drink was offered to him late in the night but he refused again. He felt someone pulling at him and he heard a voice saying , "take it, take it ."He then knew it was the devil who was tempting him. He threw the glasses and drink on the floor and he rose to go out but he was knocked on the steps outside the door.The other men were afraid to go out . Michael got up and started fro home again but he had not gone far when a great lake appeared before him and he had to wait there until the day light came before he could go
