    August and the 1st November. There used to be good fairs for horses and cattle. The 1st of November was the best for horses and foals in this part of the country and the 4th August was the best for cattle. These two fairs went to the decline since the new fairs were established in Ballina. The new fairs are held in Ballina every first Friday, and are a great success.
