Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)help one another to sow their potatoes. When the potatoes are about a month or six weeks growing, the people hoe them or weed them and mould them.
Afterwards they are dug, and gathered. Then they are put in pits and stored there for the winter.
The names of potatoes are Kerr's Pinks, Arran Victors, Arran Banners, Ruby Queens, Up to Dates, Suttons, Arran Chiefs, and irish Whites.
In this district Kerr's Pinks grow best. They are very good for eating also.
In some places boiled potatoes are used instead of starch for whitening clothes.
