- In olden times people ate three meals every day. Every meal consisted of potatoes and buttermilk. These meals were usually eaten in the morning, noon, and night. In olden times people went out and worked two or three hours in the morning before having any breakfast.
In olden times people hung up their table against the wall when not in use.
The kind of bread eaten in olden times was oaten bread. It was made from oaten meal and water and was hardened on an iron before a clear fire.
Tea was used in this district about ninty years ago. Tin pans were used in olden times before cups became common
Meat was not eaten very often years ago, but lots of fish were eaten.
