    Usually he blamed women for "blinking" his cows & believed they came in the form of a hare. He always blamed one woman in particular. She still resides in Castle St. Ramelton & her name is Mrs Harry Gallagher.
    Mr Joseph Harkin, The Glen, Ramelton related the following anecdote.
    He accompanied Peoples to his field one Summer's evening when he was going to milk his cos. When approaching the cows, a hare bounced up in front of them. Peopless roared after the hare - "Stop, Mrs Gallagher I know you well" After milking his cows, himself and Harkin returned to the town. Mrs Gallagher was standing in her own door. Peoples
