He went into the dairy and found enough cream left to churn again. Again he started to churn for they must have butter. When he had churned for a while he remembered that his only cow was shut up in the cow-house and had not got anything to eat or drink.
He thought that it would be too far to take her down to the meadow. He would just put her on the housetop, for the house was thatched with sods and there was plenty of grass on it. He could not leave the churn so he thought he would take it on his back.
He went down to the well to get the cow a drink and as he stooped the cream went over his shoulders(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
