- The name of my home district is Malin. It is in the parish of Cloncha and in the Barony of Inishowen.
There are about fifteen families and approximately one hundred people in the village of Malin.
Doherty and McLaughlin are the most common names. McGonagle is also a common name in Malin. The houses in the village are all slated. Malin means a bare hill brow.
There are three old people in Malin. They tell stories in English.
