(140)Story.
Skerries, Co. Dublin.Long ago a lady went for a walk to Shennick Island. On her way home she was walking very fast and was tired. She lay down on a rock and fell asleep. In the meantime the tide was coming but she still slept. The tide surged round the rock and swept the lady away. Every evening as the tide comes in a wailing song comes from the direction of the rock. It was learned later that this girls's name was Peggy and they called the rock Peggy's Rock. It is still to be seen.
