The boy about to be married would visit the girl's house on a certain night and bring some of his friends as well and a good bottle of whiskey. Then when the match was finished and he would come to get the fortune there would surely be a goose for supper and the day would be appointed to buy the ring and the wedding day appointed also. Then three of four days would be spent inviting the friends and neighbours.
The day of the marriage there would be a big crowd at the girl's house and plenty of porter and whiskey and wine to drink with meat of all kinds and sweetcakes and tea go leor.
