   There was a terrible wind about a hundred years ago in the year of 1839 and it knocked house, hay and trees and it took the roofs off some old houses.
   People left their homes in terror and lay down hiding under the ditches and moats until the storm was over.
   There was also a thunder storm in the year 1911 twenty seven years ago and it killed cattle and sheep and a man from this district who was out in the field and the fright of it killed him.
   About twenty six years ago there was a very dark day and the people wondered greatly. They had to have lights in their houses and streets and afterwards there was rain, thunder and lighting.
   About thirty five years ago there was a very severe windstorm and it did a great lot of damage.
   It tore big trees from their roots and some old houses were knocked down
